The Student Self-Government

The Self Government of the Cuiavian University in Włocławek consists of students elected in common elections within their faculties. Students create their Self Governments at individual faculties which deal with particular problems of each faculty and are responsible for gathering students’ ideas and implementing them further. Members of The Students’ Self Government are elected from members of Self Governments at faculties. The Self Government at School is responsible for co-ordination and supervision of the Self Governments at faculties, it also co-operates with Rector and teaching staff at the School. Such a structure enables the students and staff to organise students life, trips of all kinds or scientific projects.

The School’s Self Government deals with the following issues:

• Promotion of the School in the voivodship, in co-operation with individual Councils of Students’ Self Government of KSW
• Creation of Student Clubs under the auspices of KSW
• Organisation of scientific and tourist trips
• Organisation of Scientific Clubs and Discussion Clubs
• Organisation of student parties (Freshman Day, Juwenalia)
• Collaborates with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Aid, as well as takes part in other charity actions
• Co-operates with MONSSUN Association (Interacademic, Poland-wide Independent Association of Non Public Higher Education Institutions), as well as with self governments of other academic institutions
• Co-operates with AZS KSW
• Enters into co-operation with other foreign, higher education institutions and students
• Organises scientific and thematic conferences
• Co-organises an action „Accommodation for a student”
